Online Therapy

Just imagine it: your therapy, at your fingertips, whenever – and wherever – you want it.

You can have just that – with online therapy.

Where it’s NOT

Far away – You’ve found a therapist you really love, but you live so far away or perhaps have such unreliable transportation that it’s difficult to get there.

Or you could easily do therapy on your lunch break – if only you didn’t have to travel back and forth.

Or you look forward to therapy but NOT to the commute – the stress, the traffic, the road construction.

Or you’re so busy you can’t keep up with yourself. And yet – there’s so much wasted down time – while the baby is napping, while you’re waiting for the laundry to finish, while your car is being serviced, while the kids are in band practice – it would be great if you could get your therapy while doing those things.

Or you’re nearby when school is in session but live too far away when it’s not.

In an office – You’d love to go to the office and meet with your therapist, but you’re recovering from a recent surgery or procedure, and you simply can’t. You can’t drive, or you have a cast and crutches, or public transportation is just impossible.

Or you’re dependent on a family member or friend, and things don’t always work out.

Or you’re suffering from debilitating pain from chronic or acute illness, and you just can’t get to the office.

Or perhaps anxiety, depression, or trauma are keeping you from getting the help you need.

So, there’s no therapeutic work. No progress. No forward motion. No relief.

In a storm – Rain, hail, sleet, snow, ice. You want to keep your scheduled appointment, but Mother Nature has other plans.

So, you think your only option is to cancel, sometimes, without the necessary notice.

In a bind – You’re getting ready for a big presentation, potentially unpleasant confrontation with an ex, an interview, or significant life event, and you want your therapist with you.

So, you sit there, in isolation, struggling with a therapist who just doesn’t really “get” you or not getting any therapy at all. Either way, you’re not making the progress you want to make.

But there’s good news: online or phone therapy gives you a road back to your happy place.

Smiling yet?

There’s even more to love about this option.

Time constraints – I have more flexibility with my schedule when we meet online or by phone and may be better able to fit your schedule.

Occasionally, you may be running late from work or other appointments, and we can do an online or phone session in lieu of the scheduled in-person session.

Stress relief – The option of having an online or phone session relieves a lot of stress for parents trying to get their children to therapy.

Ease of use – We do online video sessions through the HIPPA-compliant platform of Simple Practice. If you are using a computer for our remote sessions, you don’t even have to download software! If you choose to use your cell phone for the remote session, just download the Simple Practice app. Through Simple Practice, we can also communicate via secure SMS.

Versatility – You may want to come to the office for most of your sessions, but it’s also great to have this option when you need it.

Come on, no excuses!

Now, you don’t have to let anything keep you from getting the help you need.

Reach out by calling (215) 880-7015 – let’s talk. Online or phone therapy may be just what you need to start healing and living the life you truly desire.

That’s something to smile about.

For online or phone sessions to be effective, it is necessary that you (or your adolescent child, if they are my client) can be present during the session in a place with no interruptions for the duration of the call and that you/they have privacy where our conversation cannot be overheard by others.
